Cinema ticketing software for the Czech Republic
The best cinema ticketing software for most Czech cinemas is Filmgrail on top of the box office you already run. Keep MyCloudCinema, Ticketware or Colosseum at the counter, and let Filmgrail run your own branded website, native iOS and Android apps and online checkout, for a flat price per screen with no per-ticket fees.
Cinema software in the Czech Republic: what cinemas run today
Czech cinemas mostly run Czech ticketing systems that also serve theatres and cultural centres, plus at least one international cloud POS that Filmgrail already integrates.
| System | What it is | Who uses it | Filmgrail runs on top |
|---|---|---|---|
| MyCloudCinema | Cloud cinema POS from Dublin: counter, kiosk, online and phone sales, food and beverage, loyalty and reporting | Stand-alone cinemas and chains, with named customers in the Czech Republic | Yes, integrated |
| Ticketware | Ticketing for cinemas and multiplexes: programming, online sales, reservations and settlement | More than 240 cinemas in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, by its own count | Not yet integrated; scoped in writing, about a month |
| Colosseum | Czech ticketing system for culture, with a cinema module, kiosks and film database connections | More than 600 organisers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, by its own count | Not yet integrated; scoped in writing, about a month |
Our September 2026 crawl does not publish a Czech breakdown, so this table lists systems by what each vendor says about itself. Vendor facts checked on each vendor's own website (mycloudcinema.com, ticketware.cz, colosseum.eu) on 26 September 2026. Vendors change their products; confirm anything decision-critical with them directly.
What that means for a Czech cinema
If you run MyCloudCinema, you can have Filmgrail in front of it in a few weeks: we already integrate it. See the MyCloudCinema integration and MyCloudCinema alternatives.
If you run Ticketware, Colosseum or another Czech system, the counter still does not change. We check what your installation exposes, give you a written scope, and connect it in about a month. Either way, what your audience sees becomes a website built for film, an app on their phone and a checkout in your colours, instead of a booking page shared with every theatre and cultural centre on the same system.
Why Czech cinemas choose Filmgrail
The multiplex circuits sell under national brands. Filmgrail gives a single-screen town cinema, an art-house cinema or a regional group the same tools under its own name.
Your brand, not a shared booking page
Your own website on your own domain, a proper page for every film, your seasons and events, and a checkout in your colours. Not a booking page that looks the same for every venue on the system.
Native iOS and Android apps included
Your cinema on the moviegoer's home screen, on the same CMS as the website, with push when a saved film goes on sale. In our crawl of 1,189 cinema websites, only 7% linked to an app.
Flat price, no per-ticket fees
From $200 to $20,000 a year, flat per screen. Our price does not rise with your attendance, and we never take a cut of a ticket.
Your box office stays
Filmgrail sits in front of your box office. It reads films, sessions, seats and prices and writes each sale back, so the counter and your reporting do not change.
Live in weeks
A few weeks when we already integrate your box office and payment provider; about a month when we connect a new one.
Loyalty, push and Insights built in
Member pricing, push campaigns and audience analytics in the same customer record as the sale, plus a planning tool for your programme and a festival platform if you run one.
The Czech market
We do not publish a Czech box office figure yet, because none of our European statistics sources reports one we could verify, and we would rather leave the space blank than guess.
Czech moviegoers pay online by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and through the bank-transfer buttons of Czech payment gateways. We integrate your payment provider rather than forcing ours on you. Content and interface strings are translatable in the CMS, so a cinema can run in Czech and English.
Czech exhibitors meet at Cinema Czech in Prague, run by the cinema operators' association Asociace provozovatelů kin with AV Media, next on 25 and 26 May 2027. Festival industry programmes run at Ji.hlava, 27 to 30 October 2026, and Karlovy Vary. All three are in our cinema industry events calendar.
Proof: who runs on Filmgrail
We do not yet have a Czech cinema live. The closest comparables to the Czech network of town cinemas and cultural centres are in Norway: Hitra Kino and Fredrikstad Kino run their programmes and online ticketing on Filmgrail, and Elverum Kulturhus runs its cinema alongside its wider cultural programme. Bergen Kino runs 18 halls with website, native apps and online ticketing on the same platform.
Czech festivals can run on our festival platform, which runs BIFF and the Norwegian film festival in Haugesund, for about $5,000 a year for a mid-size festival.
Published pricing in US dollars, from a single screen to a large circuit.
We never take a cut of your tickets. A sold-out weekend costs you nothing extra.
A few weeks if we already integrate your box office and payment provider; about a month for a new one.
Festival website, apps, passes and ticketing on the same flat logic, with no per-ticket fee.
Pricing and setup
Pricing is published and flat: from $200 a year for a single screen to $20,000 a year for a large circuit, per screen, with no per-ticket fees (see pricing). Prices are in US dollars. A mid-size film festival pays about $5,000 a year. If we already integrate your box office and payment provider you can be live in a few weeks; a system we have not connected before takes about a month, and we confirm the scope in writing before anything is signed.
See your own cinema on it before you talk to anyone: the free cinema website prototype builds a version of your site from its current address. Then book a demo against your real programme.
