Cinema software for cultural centres and arts venues
Filmgrail is cinema software for cultural centres that show films alongside concerts, theatre and events. Everything the building sells goes through one website, one checkout and one customer list. Elverum Kulturhus, Oppdal Kulturhus, Ørland Kultursenter, Fosnavåg Konserthus, Rådhus-Teatret and Vega Scene run on it, at a flat price per screen with no per-ticket fees.

Cultural centres already on Filmgrail
Elverum Kulturhus shows films alongside stage, events and news on one site. Every screening is a real page, so a search for a film in Elverum finds the venue. Oppdal Kulturhus sells films and events from the same building to largely the same people. With both in one system, the concert audience is a known, warm audience for the film programme.
Ørland Kultursenter sells tickets for films and events from one place, and keeps its own record of who bought what. Fosnavåg Konserthus is a concert hall that is also the town's cinema.
Vega Scene in Oslo shows film alongside theatre and stage, all sold through one site. Rådhus-Teatret is Kongsvinger's cinema and theatre. Most of its audience calls the film programme Kongsvinger kino, so both names need to lead to the same programme.
Priced by screens, from $200 a year for a single screen. A concert or a play doesn't cost extra per ticket.
A flat price per screen, with no per-ticket fee and no share of your sales. A record year costs nothing extra.
A few weeks if we already integrate your box office and payment provider; about a month if we need to add a new one.
The problems a cultural centre has, and how Filmgrail solves them
Two systems, two baskets
One checkout sells films and events together, so a customer can buy a play and a film in one transaction.
Two customer lists that never meet
With film and events in one system, you can see that your most frequent film-goer also comes to every concert, and push and SMS campaigns can target them.
Cinema listings crowd out everything else, or live on a separate microsite
One site where film is one strand of the programme. Every screening is still a crawlable page, so you don't split your search traffic across two domains.
Two names for one building
Per-page SEO fields let programme pages carry the town and the name people actually search for, so the cinema is found under the name people use for it.
Reporting to the municipality or funders
Filmgrail Insights reports audience, tickets and revenue by film, screening and campaign, ready to share with stakeholders. Report formats for a specific funder are available on demand.
A small team with several programmes
The CMS needs no programming knowledge. Role-based access gives the film programmer and the events team only the sections and permissions they need.
You already sell through Spektrix, Ticketsolve or AgileTix
Those connectors are available on demand. We build them during onboarding against your configuration, which takes about a month.
A festival once a year
The same platform runs film festivals, with sections, passes and accreditation, so the festival week doesn't need a second supplier.
See your venue on Filmgrail
See your own cinema on Filmgrail in 20 seconds: the prototype tool reads your current website and builds a working version of it on Filmgrail, with a back office you can click through. Then book a demo. Prices are on the pricing page. Running a festival as well? See the festival platform.
By country: Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Frequently asked questions
Can we sell concerts and theatre as well as films?
Yes. Vega Scene, Ørland Kultursenter and Fosnavåg Konserthus sell film alongside stage, concerts and events through one site and one checkout.
What does it cost for a cultural centre?
Filmgrail is priced by screens: from $200 a year for a single screen, flat, with no per-ticket fee on films or events. Card fees go to your own payment provider.
We use Spektrix, Ticketsolve or AgileTix. Does Filmgrail work with them?
Those connectors are available on demand. We build them during onboarding against your own configuration, which takes about a month, and your ticketing system keeps running underneath.
Can film and events share one customer list?
Yes. When both are sold through Filmgrail, each buyer has one profile, so you can target a concert audience with a film, and the other way round.
Can we report attendance to the municipality or funders?
Filmgrail Insights reports audience, tickets and revenue by film, screening and campaign, and the data stays under your control. Report formats for a specific funder are available on demand.
Can we run a film festival in the building too?
Yes. The same platform runs film festivals, with sections, single screenings, passes and accreditation. Edda Kino is a festival's main venue one week a year and an ordinary cinema the rest of the time.
You do not have to replace your box office
Filmgrail reads your programme, seat maps, ticket types and pricing from the system you already run, and writes the completed sale back so your reporting stays whole.
