The technical track of the year
Most exhibition conventions give technology a show floor and a panel or two. The ICTA Los Angeles Seminar Series is the reverse: the whole programme is about the technologies behind the cinema experience. It opens with a casual dinner reception on the Monday evening, followed by two days of seminar sessions and off-site visits.
The agenda is built from member submissions — presentations, panels, technical papers and off-site suggestions — and for 2027 ICTA ran its call for presentations from late August to mid-November 2026. That makes it a good place to hear from peers about real installations rather than product pitches alone.
Who it suits
It is built for the people who spec, install and maintain the booth and auditorium: chief engineers, technical directors, integrators and manufacturers. An owner of a small independent may find it too specialised; an operator planning a projection, sound or automation refresh will find the concentration of expertise hard to match. ICTA holds a room block at the Universal Hilton for delegates.
