How to attend the Giornate di Cinema 2026

You accredit by logging in to the reserved area of the Giornate accreditation page and choosing a category: distributors, exhibitors (owners, managers and cinema staff), industry, or press. Fees depend on category and when you book. For exhibitors and ANICA-member distributors and producers, the ordinary rate is €240 + VAT until 18 November 2026, rising to €300 + VAT for last-minute accreditation in Sorrento. Other professionals, institutions and non-ANICA companies pay €295 + VAT, or €350 + VAT on site. A one-day pass costs €120 + VAT and can only be bought during the event.

Hotel bookings go through the organiser's appointed agency, Russo Agency in Sorrento; its contact details and the hotel list are on the Luoghi (venues) page. The Tradeshow exhibitor list and the accredited-delegate programme are published on the same site.

What it is

The Giornate Professionali di Cinema are organised by ANEC, the Italian cinema exhibitors' association, with ANICA, the association of Italian film and audiovisual industries. The 49th edition, themed Raise the bar!, runs from Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 December 2026 in Sorrento; trade press reports the venue as the Hilton Sorrento Palace. ANEC puts attendance at around 2,000 industry professionals each year.

What happens there

Distributors present their upcoming line-ups in conventions with trailers, previews and talent — the core reason exhibitors attend. Around them run seminars and round tables on the market and regulation, updates from the Ministry of Culture (MIC), and a Tradeshow where suppliers show products, technology and services for cinemas. The 2026 programme brings back bilateral exhibition meetings, this time comparing the Italian and UK markets.

The Biglietti d'Oro and Chiavi d'Oro awards, for the highest-grossing films and the most successful companies, cinemas and artists of the season, are presented on Thursday 3 December. The final conventions finish by midday on Friday 4 December.

Accreditation

Accreditation is through the event portal, giornatedicinema.com, and is open to exhibitors, producers, distributors, technical companies and Trade Show exhibitors. Rates themselves are on the portal.
