CineAsia 2025 ran from 8 to 11 December in Bangkok, its fourth year with Major Cineplex as host. Studio presentations took place in Major Cineplex's Icon Cineconic at ICONSIAM, and the trade show was in the IconSiam Hall next door. The Tourism Authority of Thailand put attendance at more than 3,500 people from 50 countries.

Sony and Angel opened on Monday. Warner Bros. and Paramount presented on Tuesday, and Universal and Disney on Wednesday. Thursday was given to Asian distributors, with Galaxy Studios of Vietnam, K2 Pictures and China Film Group. The trade show was open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. The seminar programme included an ICTA panel on the growth of premium formats in the region and a RealD session on the return of 3D.

Major Cineplex was named Exhibitor of the Year and Disney's John Hsu Distributor of the Year. Vieshow Cinemas of Taiwan won the Innovator Award and Emperor Cinemas Group the Exhibition Pioneer award. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle received the Comscore box office award for the region.

Registration is online only, through the CineAsia registration page. Full Conference registration costs US$1,075 if you book by 4 December 2026 and US$1,275 from 5 December. Trade Show & Seminars costs US$595. One-day passes go on sale after 4 December. New for Seoul, delegates with an address outside Korea pay 10% Korean VAT on top. No refunds are given after 2 October 2026, and every registrant must accept a non-disclosure agreement.

Asia-Pacific is where most of the last decade's screen growth happened, and the operating assumptions differ enough from Europe and North America that the sessions are genuinely not interchangeable.

Local-language production is dominant in several of the largest markets rather than supplementary to Hollywood. Mobile-first ticketing arrived earlier and went further — in parts of the region, an app is not a channel but the channel. Premium large format penetration is high. And the circuits at the top end are operating at a scale that does not exist elsewhere.

Unlike CinemaCon and CineEurope, which have settled venues, CineAsia moves between host cities, so the location is worth checking each year rather than assuming.
