The venues running Spektrix are typically not pure cinemas. They are arts centres, theatres and cultural venues that programme film alongside live performance, and that is exactly the case a cinema-only platform handles badly and a theatre-only platform handles differently badly.

Spektrix is strong where it matters for that kind of organisation: the customer record, memberships, donations, and knowing which campaign produced which booking. Those are genuinely hard and you should not want to rebuild them.

What tends to be weak is the film side of the programme. A film is not an event with a run of dates — it has a certificate, a runtime, a trailer, a cast, a distributor, and it wants to be found by people searching for that film in your town. Presenting it as another row in an events listing loses all of that, and loses the search traffic with it.

The integration is built as part of onboarding rather than bought off a shelf. In practice that means a short discovery on your configuration — how your programme, pricing and membership data are actually modelled, which is never quite what the documentation says — then the connector, then a staging environment running against your real data before anything is pointed at customers.
