FNCF Congress (Congrès de la FNCF)

The FNCF has set the dates for its 82nd congress: 27 to 30 September 2027 in Deauville. According to the federation's Congrès 2027 page, registration opens in early July 2027, the same timing as in 2026.

Registration goes through the FNCF, not a public ticket shop. The congress is a professional event for the French exhibition sector, and fees are not published on the open site. Before you register, read the federation's general rules for the congress and its eco-responsible charter. The 2026 programme shows the usual format: distributor previews, debates on the French market and a supplier exhibition. Deauville is small and fills up in congress week, so book your accommodation as soon as the dates suit.

The FNCF is the national federation of French cinema operators, and its congress is the main annual meeting of the French exhibition sector. The 81st congress took place at the Centre International de Deauville from 21 to 24 September 2026.

The programme combines distributor previews — the 2026 programme listed titles including Les Misérables, Badinter and La petite Classe — with the congress debates on the French market, and the federation publishes an eco-responsible charter and general rules for the event.

France has Europe's largest cinema audience and a regulatory setting — windows, art et essai classification, public support for cinemas — that is unlike anywhere else. For a French operator the congress is where federation policy, distributor slates and suppliers meet. For a foreign operator or supplier it is a way into that market, but the event runs in French and is built around French concerns.

For 2026, registration opened in early July through the FNCF; questions go to the congress address published on fncf.org. Fees were not listed on the public page. As of 26 September 2026 the dates of the 2027 congress had not been announced.
