Expocine

Expocine describes itself as a Latin American convention for the film and audiovisual industry: four days of courses, panels, workshops, distributor presentations and a business fair with stands from suppliers serving production, distribution and exhibition. It is produced by Grupo Tonks.

The 2026 edition uses two venues about 100 metres apart on Avenida Paulista. Cine Marquise hosts the opening and closing ceremonies, workshops and distributor presentations; the C3 convention centre in Center 3 hosts registration, meeting rooms, the business fair of more than 50 stands and a 200-seat auditorium for panels.

The distributor line-up presentations are the core reason for a Brazilian cinema to attend. The 2026 programme lists line-up sessions from distributors including H2O Films, Sato Company and Warner Bros, with screenings in Cine Marquise's Barco room. There is also an exhibitor-focused course, an introduction to AI for cinema operators.

Credentials come in three tiers. Standard gives access to the business fair; Forum adds panels, talks and workshops with a certificate of participation; Premium is reserved for people working in exhibition, is subject to internal validation, and is the tier that includes the distributor and studio presentations, parties and cocktails.
