CineLATAM (formerly ShowEast)

You have the right event under a different name. ShowEast ran for close to forty years — Atlantic City first, then Orlando, then Miami — as the autumn gathering for American exhibitors and studios. The Film Expo Group has retired the ShowEast brand and relaunched it as CineLATAM, focused entirely on the Latin American theatrical market.

The reasoning is straightforward. North America was already well served by CinemaCon in the spring, while Latin America — young audiences, growing screen counts, a real appetite for local-language production — had no convention of its own. Rather than run a second North American event, the slot was repointed.

The practical consequence: if you are a US exhibitor who attended ShowEast for the domestic studio relationships, that function now sits with CinemaCon. If your business touches Latin America, this is now the event that serves it.

CineLATAM is held in Florida — Coral Gables in the Miami area — in September, which keeps it reachable from both North and South America. The programme runs in Spanish and English, and the exhibitor base is drawn from across the region.

Because the event is newly rebranded, dates and venue are worth confirming with the Film Expo Group directly rather than relying on the older ShowEast listings that still circulate.
