LG entered cinema LED behind Samsung and competes in the same emerging category: direct-view LED panels that replace the projector-and-screen pairing entirely. The Miraclass line is its cinema-specific product, distinct from the large-format DVLED displays LG sells into corporate, retail and high-end residential.

The case for and against is the same as for any LED cinema screen — extraordinary contrast and brightness, no projection booth, against a solid panel that displaces the speakers from behind the screen and a capital cost well beyond a projector refresh.
