META Cinema Forum

The META Cinema Forum brings together exhibitors, studios, distributors, filmmakers, technology providers and regulators from the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. It is organised by Great Minds Event Management (GM Events) in Dubai, and the 2026 edition is the 8th.

The region's exhibition sector has changed shape quickly, with new circuits and new markets opening, which is why a regional forum exists alongside the global conventions. Sessions cover cinema technology, cinema design and mixed-use spaces, and emerging topics such as AI and virtual reality, alongside studio presentations and the META Cinema Awards.

If you operate or plan to open cinemas in the Gulf, the wider Middle East, Turkey or Africa, this is the event built for you: the studios and regional distributors are there, and so are the suppliers pitching to new builds. For operators elsewhere it is mainly a way to track one of the more active growth markets.
