Ciné Québec

Ciné Québec is a three-day convention that puts the Quebec film business in one place: cinema operators, distributors, directors, producers, actors, broadcasters, government agencies, publicists and suppliers. The organiser puts attendance at more than 550 people.

For exhibitors the core is the film programme. There are screenings of films that will open in the year ahead, trailer presentations, plans for how releases will be marketed, and meetings with the people who made the films. Distributors host the breakfasts, lunches and evening parties, and use them to present their slates. The draft 2027 schedule also includes a box-office statistics presentation from Cinéac, workshops, a conference session and coffee networking breaks. The event closes with tributes and awards, including the Hommage Ciné Québec and the Prix Lise-Dandurand.

It is built for Quebec's French-language market. If you run a cinema in Quebec, this is where the local distributors show you what is coming, and where you meet them in person. It is especially useful for regional cinemas, which get early access to Quebec productions they will play.

For operators outside Quebec the value is limited. The programme is in French and centres on Quebec releases.

The 2027 edition runs Tuesday 2 to Thursday 4 February at the Sheraton and Centre de congrès in Saint-Hyacinthe, with screenings at Cinéma St-Hyacinthe. The schedule is marked as not final.

You can register for the full event or à la carte. The 2027 price list shows 575 $ for the full stay (two breakfasts, three lunches, two cocktails and dinners), or 57 $ for a single breakfast, 175 $ for a lunch and 265 $ for a dinner. Accommodation is not included. The Sheraton group rate is available until 18 January 2027. Cancellations must be made in writing at least seven working days before the event for a refund, minus a 10% administration fee.
